Online - Functional Pathology Analysis
In-depth review of your pathology results, from a functional medicine perspective.
Service Description
Regular blood tests which your Dr may regularly send you for provide some insight into your biochemistry if we look beyond the extreme highs and lows. Your Dr reviews your results looking for disease and will therefore react when a result is well outside their range. However, these ranges are based on the theory that 95% of today’s community is healthy, and many times the Drs will brush the odd abnormal result off as unimportant. In a functional analysis, we look for results which are High normal (HN) or low normal (LN), so still within healthy range, but have been identified to be indicators that something may be happening from a functional perspective. I.e. if these improved, your function could be improved. This is how pathology testing can be used to identify failing processes in the body which are not yet pathological (can be identified as a disease or disorder by a medical professional) but may still be contributing to your health outcomes. It's important to also note that my functional ranges are gender and age-group specific, and that I compare results with each other by setting ratios. I also review patterns obtained from several different results which may not together relate to a disease, but they do indicate functional disparity.
